Abstract:
I discuss some topical areas of condensed matter physics where the targeted growth and study of MOF’s is expected to be able to generate a large impact. The combination of ab-initio prediction, synthesis, experiment, and modelling that is possible in this area promises to yield profound fundamental insights and be very useful for targeting future research into devices and applications.
